The Yading 'Big Kora' trek is one of the most scenically spectacular in the world. The expedition, expertly designed and managed by acclaimed adventure travel operator, Whistling Arrow, will begin in Shangri-La in northern Yunnan. You will travel to the Tibetan settlement of Yading in south-west Sichuan before setting off on the Yading 'Kora' trek, which circumambulates three sacred 6000m+ peaks sanctified in the 8th Century by the fifth Dalai Lama. Trekkers will have the chance to connect with local pilgrims in a journey that will combine Himalayan mountain splendour with cultural and spiritual interest.
In support of the newly opened Oxford China Centre, a group of Oxford alumni and staff participating in this trek will be raising funds in support of the Bodlein KB Chen China Centre Library. By supporting the trekkers, you will give the Library the ability to buy new books and expand the resources available for future generations of students and scholars at the Oxford China Centre.
Find our more about the trekkers and how you can support them.
If you are interested to join the tour, please read the tour dossier, and then follow the steps below:
